I could ask whatever silly questions I had and we focused on what my pup needed from me. I got in contact because I wanted to ensure that, as a new puppy-parent, I was on the right track with his training (socialisation) and general puppy-life-skills. 500/10 would recommend to a new puppy-parent friend.

The focus has primarily been building rapport and engagement. Way better than the other trainers I've had over the years.

And Zelda had a fantastic time. Chris is obviously very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease even though I'm a complete novice. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tara Boyle2022-03-24Miguel had my 7m Labrador puppy Ruby literally eating out of the palm of his hand..He was so knowledgable and calm and taught Ruby in such a warm and gentle way...We now just have to keep up the training...but will continue to train Ruby at the Beginners class every week!

A bullet proof "down" command and reliable recall saved Little Lucy's life one day as she was about to bolt across a busy road. Forever grateful to all the fabulous trainers! She gave us confidence to take on board the knowledge and skills to be able to persist with Bonnies training. She didn’t make us feel stupid or embarrassed at all. I wish I had of reached out sooner. Bonnie is now a pleasure to walk and we have had people compliment her on how well behaved she is. These guys are amazing and worth every cent.
John Hardman2021-06-28The more I emerse myself in positive k9s group obedience classes. The more I realise that the quality of training is unlike anywhere else and is in a league of its own. Going through pk9s group classes program, your dog won't end up doing a few tricks or even get a little certificate that says your dog is "trained". Through pk9s program what you will get is a high level bond with your dog, an extremely positive relationship with your dog along with a level of obedience and skills that are rarely seen these days. pk9s group classes can take you to the pinicle of dogsports or even just an amazing fulfilling life with your dog. Sensational skilled trainers who give each person the time they need to develop and flourish.

Nikki Roberts2021-03-16Honestly - i could not thank Melissa enough!! After our 1on1 in house session i feel a lot more relaxed with our new little man, Moose. I almost feel like i have a completely different dog. Its not just about training your dog, its about training the humans too. Yes, we were not perfect and we did a few things wrong, but a slight tweak and both little man and his humans are doing great. The calming technique is working wonders. Moose can't wait to start puppy school in April!! We are all excited to continue learning. Thanks again Melissa & PK9! couldn't recommend you guys enough!

We’ve been coming to see Chris at Positive K9 for about two years. We got Ollie as a rescue dog and Chris has been really good at helping us understand Ollie’s personality and traits, given what he’s come from.
We have been using Chris Loverseed’s service to raise some of our puppies prior to having them sent up to NSW. The complex task of puppy raising is a skill that can go horribly wrong in the hands of unskilled people, resulting in disastrous long term results.
Chris has consistently delivered our puppies as confident, well balanced and sociable dogs who have benefitted tremendously from a terrific head start. My name is Paula Cochrane of SIEGERTAL ROTTWEILERS……I have been breeding Rotties in excess of 30 years. I first met Chris when he accompanied a very good friend of his to assist her in purchasing/selecting & training her first Rottweiler. We’ve been coming to Positive K9 Training for three years. When Scout was a puppy, she was very anxious so all the trainers here were very good with her, very gentle, and we learned lots of things so she became more self-confident.
Thanks Chris for your help with my anxious Ridgeback. I really appreciated that your training was patient with both me and my dog, teaching me why my dog was behaving as he was, and giving me useful actions to overcome the stressful behaviours. It helped me a lot that you took the time to explain, demonstrate, and re-explain where I needed it. Thank you so much for your positive training.
We’ve been coming here for 15 months. The ground-work that Chris and the other trainers have done, in breaking down the training step by step, assisted Bonne, even in the 5 months when she wasn’t able to come to training
When I first got my new puppy Arthur, I didn’t know what I was in for with the biting and whining. Within the first session with Chris, he taught us how to approach dealing with Arthur when he does things that are undesirable and how to reward for when he did something good! Chris also introduced and educated us to a variety of things we were not aware of such as how to train the puppy to walk nicely on a lead. Since that first session, Arthur has been extremely good on walks and automatically responds to us.
Further, Chris keeps the sessions nice and relaxed so that neither the puppy or the owner gets too overwhelmed with information. He also brings a bag of tricks full of treats and toys to aid the dogs learning process. One of the best things about Chris, is that he is very quick in responding to questions that come up between sessions. The thing that I most recommend with regard to hiring Chris is that the sessions with Arthur can be done at a time most suited to me, without having to reschedule other commitments or simply not attend them.
The experience overall has been fantastic and we are lucky to have found Chris who helped make little Arthur’s life and our lives much easier and happier.
We’ve been coming to Positive K9 Training for a year and half now and I have to say that I’m loving it. Chris and the rest of the staff are just amazing. Any questions or problems we have, we can just come up and ask them.
I have 2 dogs, a Labrador and a Cavoodle. My Cavoodle could jump, climb or go through our fence. We would constantly be blocking it off and repairing it. He would always find a way. This was a big concern until I tried K9 training. Chris established that he suffered from anxiety and showed me exactly what had to be done. It has completely removed our former concerns that my dog would escape and get lost or hit by a car. My Labrador would constantly jump on us and visitors. We also couldn’t bring him inside the house.
Every time we opened the door he would just run through the house. The training is essential but not difficult in any way. After that short period of training, the dogs were comfortable, they relaxed and appeared to be happy with the boundaries. Chris has solved all of our problems and showed us what has to be done on a day to day basis. I also appreciate the fact that i could call Chris to ask him a question and he would give me advise over the phone. Positive K9 training was a godsend!
This is my dog Alke and I’m Mija. Our goal for the dog is to turn her into a hearing assistance dog so Chris has given us lots of good advice on how to start our foundational training.
