Happy dog owners in Melbourne

Over the years, we’ve worked with a lot of dog owners in Melbourne. It’s always great to hear that these dogs are well adjusted with their families or in their jobs. If you have worked with Positive K9 Training in the past and would like to leave a review, please visit our Google Plus page, Yellow Pages listing or you can email us directly.

Chris & Geraldine have been really helpful

Chris and Geraldine have been really helpful in teaching us what we need to do to get Emmy to perform in the right way. She has been very quick to learn how to sit and drop and we wouldn’t have been able to do that without their help.

Extremely happy with the results

We have been using Chris Loverseed’s service to raise some of our puppies prior to having them sent up to NSW. The complex task of puppy raising is a skill that can go horribly wrong in the hands of unskilled people, resulting in disastrous long term results. Chris has consistently delivered our puppies as confident, well balanced and sociable dogs who have benefitted tremendously from a terrific head start.

We have been extremely happy with the results we have seen from Chris and would recommend him to anyone looking to improve their canine relationship.

Dedication, passion and insight

My name is Paula Cochrane of SIEGERTAL ROTTWEILERS……I have been breeding Rotties in excess of 30 years. I first met Chris when he accompanied a very good friend of his to assist her in purchasing/selecting & training her first Rottweiler. I quickly learned of his absolute dedication towards achieving his ultimate goal: raising that pup to be a balanced, happy & obedient family dog as well as working/training towards competing with him as a top level working canine athlete.

During this time Chris has raised (3) of our Rotties…….nurturing, training & imprinting them throughout their critical period of 8 – 16 weeks & beyond. We have since all become very good friends & have spent many hours discussing various training methods as well as training dogs here on the property: I respect Chris’s dedication, passion & insight whilst working through any issue.

I have no problem recommending Chris Loverseed of Positive K9 Training for any of your dog training needs and in fact include his contact details every time I sell a new Rottie pup! Many of our puppy buyers have referred to Chris should a training/behavior issue arise….he’s able to quickly offer advice so as to sort out those issues & prevent them from becoming a long term problem.

Your help was invaluable

Dear Chris, Our family would just like to say a BIG thank you for everything that you have done, and will continue to do for Rocco! Not being the animal person in our house, but being the one to spend the most time with Rocco, your help was invaluable. I almost felt like a new mother all over again. I honestly didn’t know where to start. I wouldn’t have know his top to his bottom without your help! For your help and patience (with me and not just with our dog!) I will always be thankful.

The time and effort that we have invested in Rocco with you, will no doubt be instilled in him into his adulthood. The time will continue to invest in him with you, will lay the foundations for the perfect companion for our family. Everyone comments on how much of a beautifully behaved dog he is, and I think that comes to your influence with him. Like children, the way we act turns them into who they will become later in life. A continuous journey. I’m glad and relieved that you are on this journey with us. Thank you so much

Thank you so much

Thanks Chris for your help with my anxious Ridgeback. I really appreciated that your training was patient with both me and my dog, teaching me why my dog was behaving as he was, and giving me useful actions to overcome the stressful behaviours. It helped me a lot that you took the time to explain, demonstrate, and re-explain where I needed it. Thank you so much for your positive training.

Lucky to have found Chris

When I first got my new puppy Arthur, I didn’t know what I was in for with the biting and whining. Within the first session with Chris, he taught us how  to approach dealing with Arthur when he does things that are undesirable and how to reward for when he did something good! Chris also introduced and educated us to a variety of things we were not aware of such as how to train the puppy to walk nicely on a lead. Since that first session, Arthur has been extremely good on walks and automatically responds to us.

Further, Chris keeps the sessions nice and relaxed so that neither the puppy or the owner gets too overwhelmed with information. He also brings a bag of tricks full of treats and toys to aid the dogs learning process. One of the best things about Chris, is that he is very quick in responding to questions that come up between sessions. The thing that I most recommend with regard to hiring Chris is that the sessions with Arthur can be done at a time most suited to me, without having to reschedule other commitments or simply not attend them.

The experience overall has been fantastic and we are lucky to have found Chris who helped make little Arthur’s life and our lives much easier and happier.

Positive K9 training was a godsend!

I have 2 dogs, a Labrador and a Cavoodle. My Cavoodle could jump, climb or go through our fence. We would constantly be blocking it off and repairing it. He would always find a way. This was a big concern until i tried K9 training. Chris established that he suffered from anxiety and showed me exactly what had to be done. It has completely removed our former concerns that my dog would escape and get lost or hit by a car. My Labrador would constantly jump on us and visitors. We also couldn’t bring him inside the house.Every time we opened the door he would just run through the house. The training is essential but not difficult in any way. After that short period of training, the dogs were comfortable, they relaxed and appeared to be happy with the boundaries. Chris has solved all of our problems and showed us what has to be done on a day to day basis. I also appreciate the fact that i could call Chris to ask him a question and he would give me advise over the phone. Positive K9 training was a godsend!

The results speak for themselves

You hear a lot of different teaching methods when you get a new puppy and the advice can be overwhelming let alone wrong.  Chris has some fantastic training strategies that apply to different types of dogs and different types of environments. I have a very active Samoyed/Husky cross who was very stubborn and strong willed. She is a beautiful dog and I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing with regards to training her.

I truly believe that one on one training is the absolute best way to go especially with the larger dogs as they grow very quickly. Chris has transformed Maya into an eager participant who has learned to focus on me rather than other distractions  I have a very happy and content Husky but still with all the vibrancy and spirit of a puppy.  I know I can call at any time for reinforcement of a training issue and Chris is always helpful and patient. I have no hesitation in recommending Chris as a trainer as the results speak for themselves.
